# Quick start

Bridging a token takes five steps.

## 1. Connect a wallet

Click **Connect Wallet**. Installed browser wallets appear at the top of the list; WalletConnect lets you connect a wallet on your phone by scanning a QR code.

No signature is requested — connecting only shares your address.

## 2. Choose the route

Pick the source and destination networks in section **01 — ROUTE**. The swap button between them reverses the direction.

## 3. Enter the token

Paste the **token contract address** for the source network into **TOKEN CONTRACT**.

If you have saved the token before, its ticker is enough — type `OPG` instead of the full address.

## 4. Find the route

Press **SEARCH LAYERZERO TRANSACTIONS**. The bridge resolves the OFT contract, the destination, and the fee. Results appear in **02 — BRIDGE DETAILS**, which stays collapsed until you open it.

## 5. Enter an amount and bridge

Type the amount, or press **MAX**. The panel shows the bridge fee and what will arrive on the destination network.

Press **BRIDGE**, review the transaction in your wallet, and sign it.

Always check the destination network and the amount in your wallet before signing. Crypto transactions cannot be reversed.

## One transaction or two?

This depends on the token, and it surprises people the first time.

**The token is the OFT contract itself** — one transaction. The contract burns or locks your tokens directly, so no permission is needed.

**The token is a plain ERC-20 moved by a separate adapter** — two transactions:

1. **Approve** — you allow the adapter contract to move your tokens.
2. **Bridge** — the transfer itself.

This is ordinary ERC-20 behaviour, not something specific to this bridge: no contract can move your tokens until you permit it. The approval is cheap; the bridge fee shown in the interface belongs to the second transaction.

You can tell which case you are in by opening **02 — BRIDGE DETAILS**. When the **OFT Contract** address differs from the **Token** address, the token uses an adapter and there will be two transactions.

If the wallet asks you to sign twice, nothing has gone wrong. The first window is the approval, the second is the bridge.

## Following the transfer

**TX STATUS** below the card tracks progress: a spinning icon while the message is in flight, a green check when it is delivered, a red cross if it fails. The **LZScan** link opens the message on LayerZero Scan.

Delivery usually takes from a few seconds to a couple of minutes, depending on the networks.
